I’m Olawunmi Akindele

Born and raised in the historic city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, I embody resilience, creativity, and a deep passion for human connection. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from FUNAAB and am a licensed Nurse, Midwife, and Mental Health Nurse in Nigeria, now practicing as a Mental Health Nurse in the UK. Alongside my medical career, I am the founder of TLC by Lurlberry—a brand focused on love, health, relationships, and sexuality—and Lurlberry Signature, a makeup brand and studio where I train and mentor women in the art of beauty and self-expression. Married for over fifteen years, I balance family life with professional excellence and entrepreneurial passion.
My debut book, Across Borders, explores how relocation reshapes identity, intimacy, and relationships, inspired by my work with diverse immigrant communities and my journey toward becoming a certified Sex and Relationship Therapist in the UK. Through my work and platforms, I remain committed to empowering individuals and communities to build intimacy, healing, and connection.
